John Alton [Allton] was born 22 May 1759 in Maryland.  Died 18 Jul 1823 and buried in the Alton cemetery, six miles from Vincennes.  He was married in 1784 to Catherine Adams, who was born in 1764.  Children were Joseph [1785-1858] who married Rachel Jones; John was born in 1799; Cynthia [1798-1867] married to David Richey; Mary married George Stipes; William married Jane; James born in 1815.  Source Page 39, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

James Anderson was born 22 Oct 1743 in Delaware.  He died in Apr 1835 and is buried in the Anderson graveyard at Sandborn in Vigo County.  He was married to Inez Lavarro (a Cuban).  They had five children but only Rachel and James came to Indiana.  Rachel was born 5 Aug 1777 and was married to Thomas Anderson and had the following children: Peggy born in 1796; Pressley born in 1806; James born in 1808; Thomas Jr. born in 1811; Lewis born in 1813; Clark born in 1817; and Alexander born in 1832.  Source Page 40, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Minard [Miner, Minor, Mainard, Minart] A'Sturgus [A. Sturgis, Sturgis] was born 26 Jan 1759 in Virginia.  He died 23 Mar 1786.  He was killed by Indians southeast of Post Vincennes.  No grave found.  He was married to Ann Mayes who was born in 1762.  His children were Mary, born in 1781, married Daniel Smith; Robert, born in 1782; Elizabeth born in 1784; Margaret born in 1785 who married John Johnson, the son of Revolutionary War soldier James Johnson.  His wife is buried in the Indiana Church Cemetery on Monroe City Road.  Source Page 45, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Thomas Baird was born 1749 in Pennsylvania.  He died 24 Oct 1834 and is buried in Upper Indiana Cemetery, Knox County.  Stone.  He was married first in 1777, to Esther Kilgore.  Children were Nancy who was born in 1787.  Married second to Jane Johnson, who died in 1850.  Children were Martha who married William Adams; Archibald G. Alexander Chambers was born 1753 Ireland.  He died in 1834 and is buried near Edwardsport in Chambers Cemetery.  He married Polly.  Children: Thomas; Dave; James; John Alexander; Levi; Joseph.  Source Page 92, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Frederick Claycomb was born 1758 Pennsylvania.  He died 1846 and buried in Johnson Township.  He married Eliza.  Children Frederick 1787-1849; Elias married Elizabeth; Mary Couchman; Elizabeth Rudle.  Source Page 98, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Honore Danis was born about 1732 at Villa Marie, Canada.  He died 22 Oct 1792 and buried at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Cemetery, Vincennes, Indiana.  He was married first to Marie Louise Butos (half Indian).  Child Marguerite born Oct 1767.  Second wife Marie Joseph Godere 1767-1793.  Child: Ursule born 1789.  Source Page 113, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

John [Johannes] Decker Sr. was baptized 1 Jun 1719 Kingston, New York.  Died before 30 Sep 1790 Knox County, Indiana and buried in the Decker Graveyard, Decker Township.  Married to Diana Kuykendall.  Children: Barbary; Isaac; Joseph; Abraham; Moses; John; Luke; Tobias; Elizabeth.  John and Tobias were not sons but nephews.  Source Page 117, 118, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Luke Decker was born about 1760 Hampshire County, Virginia.  Died about Mar 1825 and buried in the Decker Graveyard, Decker Township.  Married first to Sarah Harkness.  Children: Isaac married Barbara Kuykendall.  Second wife Trenny Claypool died Jun 1849, St. Clair County, Illinois, aged 66.  Source Page 118, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Tobias Decker was born 1749 Ulster County, New York.  He died after 1802 in Knox County, Indiana and probably buried in the Old Decker Cemetery which has been washed away by the White River.  He married 1764 Sarah born Hampshire County, Virginia.  Children: Barbara born 1765 married Allen Ramsey; Jacob; Luke married Elizabeth Cait; Isaac; Tobias married Hannah Dunham; Abraham.  Source Page 18, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1980.

Louis Godere [Coder] was born at Quantanon, now Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He died before 1802, buried in the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Cemetery, Vincennes, Indiana.  He was married about 1765 to Elizabeth Leveron a native of Montreal.  Children: Agnes Marie Joseph married Honore Danis; Louis Coder died 11 Jan 1795 Gibault priest; Felicite Coder baptized 20 Nov 1773; Joseph Coder baptized 22 May 1786; Francois married 1804; Marie Louise married in 1802.  Source Page 158, 159, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

James Hannah, son of Reverend Francis S. Hannah, was born 1760 Chester County, Pennsylvania.  He died in 1821 and buried in the lower Indiana Presbyterian Churchyard, Knox County.  Children: (known) Jane born Greene County, Pennsylvania; Mary married John Barrickman; Nancy born 5 Feb 1793 married Abraham Rodermel; Peter born 1799 married Elizabeth Light; Margaret married William Burtch; Maria born 1805 married first Thomas Docker, second to William Burtch (deceased sister Margaret's husband); Sarah married Samuel Marshall.  All the above children were born in Greene County, Pennsylvania.  The following were born in Indiana.  Minerva married Joseph Roseman; Indiana married Esau McFall; William married Diana Flowers; John married Mahala Profit.  Source Page 25, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1980.

Joshua Harbin was born in Maryland.  He died between 1790 and 1797.  Grave not located.  He was married to Elizabeth.  Children: Joshua Jr. (died without heirs); John married Diana; Elizabeth married William Scott; Cassey (Cassandra) married Michael Thorn (Revolutionary War Soldier); Massa Abraham Westfall (Revolutionary War Soldier); Lucy married Thomas Nicholls; Sarah Dawden of Montgomery County Maryland.  Deeds give all these children as heirs of Joshua Harbin Sr.  Source Page 50, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1966.

Moses Henry A bill for digging a grave 9 Jan 1789, paid by widow is proof that he is buried in Knox County, probably buried in St. Xavier Cemetery.  He married Ann Collins, no trace of children found.  Source Page 185, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

William Holmes was born Jan 1751 Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  He died 21 Aug 1836 and buried in Upper Indiana Cemetery.  Stone.  He married Elizabeth Love died 1836.  Children: Jane married Thomas Emison 1802; Hetty married William Bruce 1819; Andrew married Delilah Tyler Bruce 1819; Josiah married Margaret McClure 1818.  Source Page 194, Roster of Soldiers and Patriots of the American Revolution Buried in Indiana, 1938.

Augustin Jennings was born 24 Sep 1724 Virginia.  He died 18 Dec 1786 and buried on farm in Johnson Township, Knox County.  He married Hannah Williams 1728-1780.  Children: Nancy born 1753 married Mathew K. Jean Marie Philippe LeGras [Legrace] was born not known but came to Post Vincennes by 1774.  He died 10 Feb 1788 and buried in the Church on the Epistle side.  He married Marie Devegnais died 1790, aged 57.  Children: J.
